Former MN Amatuer Baseball Player Ben Bakeberg is looking for broken wood bats to be used for furniture such as bar stools, foot stools, display cases, etc.

Help with old photos

I have a shoebox from my great grandfather full of negatives in perfect condition of baseball games, players, and fields/stadiums. My great grandpa was, George Thompson, one of the founders of the umpires association. He took many pictures back in the '20s-'60s.

Is there anyone who could help me with this project? I need to identify and price what they are worth. Then I would like to start selling copies on paper to places. I need a partner to help me and I would share profits with this person. A lot of these negatives are from Minnesota teams, Chicago, Canada, New York and other places. MINUTES OF BOARD MEETING

MEETING SITE - O'HARAS, ST. CLOUD

SATURDAY JUNE 9, 2001

Meeting called to order by President Odman at 10:00 AM. All directors answered roll call.

Motion Brennan, seconded Spanier, carried to accept the minutes of the previous meeting as mailed.

First order of business was a protest ruling appealed by Farming vs. the Stearns County Lgs. After 5 innings of play, Farming was ahead 4-3. In the top of the 6th, St. Martin scored a run and then the rain came. After a rain delay the umpire called the game and awarded it to Farming, stating the game goes back to the last completed inning which was 5 complete innings. The game was not protested until the following day by St. Martin, when a special meeting was called. After a lengthy discussion with all parties, and many rule interpretations from the Stearns County by-laws, to the Official Rule Book. A motion by Roufs, seconded by Odman to suspend the game and start where it left off Voting for the motion Roufs, Odman, Zellmann. Voting against the motion Fischer, Richter, Wegscheid, Fiemeyer, Brennan, Spanier. Motion defeated 6-3. Farming is awarded the garne. A motion was then made by Roufs, seconded by Wegscheid carried to disallow the protest.

Motion Wegscheid, seconded Fisher carried to make Casey Johnson eligible to play for the Prior Lake Mudcats. Voting against the motion Roufs.

The board ruled that Isaac Hjermustad will be eligible to play for Wolf Lake upon receiving his Pro Questionnaire.

Motion Wegscheid, seconded Fisher carried that Scott Geiger will be eligible to play for Buckrnan after securing his 4 games.

Motion Spanier, seconded Fiemeyer carried that Kory Kosek will be eligible to play for Glencoe after securing his 4 games.

Motion Fiemeyer, seconded Brennan carried that Correy Kemp be eligible to play for the Duluth Exp after secure ing his for games.

Motion Roufs, seconded Wegscheid carried that Mike Dornsback be eligible to play for Loretto after securing his 4 games.

Motion Spanier, seconded Brennan carried for Brad Mazer to play for the Mankato Maschers, return to Maple Plain for post season providing he secures his 4 games eligibility.

Motion Fiemeyer, seconded Wegscheid carried to approve Chris Ruppert to play for the Mankato Maschers, return to New Ulm Kaiserhoff for post season providing he secures his 4 game eligibility.

Motion Richter, seconded Wegscheid carried to deny the Player Questionnaire of Nathan Hebeisen to play for Gaylord.

Letter was received and discussed from Buddy Beier concerning the Region.

Motion Richter, seconded Wegscheid carried to approve Tournament Sanction. Dundas

- June 2-3, 2001; St. Cloud - June 6-10, 2001; Sobieski - June 9-10, 2001; Brownton -June 14-16, 2001; Sleepy Eye - June 15-16, 2001.

Motion Wegscheid, seconded Roufs carried to approve Jeremy Zimmer to play for Austin upon getting his release from Fairmont.

Motion Richter, seconded Fiemeyer carried to approve a radius for Canby (only) to 35 miles.

Motion Richter, seconded Spanier carried to approve the following terms to play Non MBA Teams.

ÝÝÝÝ Marshall to play Brookings, Aurora, Aberdeen, SD.

ÝÝÝÝ Rosen Exp to play Castlewood, SD.

ÝÝÝÝ Pipestone to play Larchwood, IA., Dell Rapids, Lennox, Brandon Valley Falandueau, SD.

ÝÝÝÝ Moorhead Brew to play Jamestown Elks, Jamestown Mert, Enderlin, Fargo Mudhens, Hope-Finley Horned Frogs

ÝÝÝÝ Dundas to play Prescott, Eau Claire, WI.

ÝÝÝÝ Arrowhead Lg to play Superior, Spooner, Oulu, Hayward, Stansbury, Ashland, Exeland, Butternut, WI.

ÝÝÝÝ Duluth Exp and Grand Rapids play in Thunder Bay Tournament June 15-16, 2001.

The board next met with Section and Region Commissioners. After some discussion, motion Spanier, seconded Wegscheid carried to approve the Sections and Regions for 2001. You will fmd them outlined in these minutes.

The Scheduling Committee and Umpires Committee started setting up the State Tournament. These items will be finalized at the July meeting.

Next meeting of the MBA will be July 28th at Red Wing, 1:00 PM.

No further business, motion by Wegscheid, seconded Brennan to adjourn Adjournment coming at 3:30 PM.
