Help with old photos

I have a shoebox from my great grandfather full of negatives in perfect condition of baseball games, players, and fields/stadiums. My great grandpa was, George Thompson, one of the founders of the umpires association. He took many pictures back in the '20s-'60s.

Is there anyone who could help me with this project? I need to identify and price what they are worth. Then I would like to start selling copies on paper to places. I need a partner to help me and I would share profits with this person. A lot of these negatives are from Minnesota teams, Chicago, Canada, New York and other places. Motion Wegscheid, seconded Brennan, carried to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as mailed.

The board met with Tournament Chairman Bill Nelson from Dundas and Mike Allen from Northfield. Items about the tournament were discussed. The board later inspected both parks and found them in great shape.

President Odman appointed Dave Shumway to the Audit Committee, along with State Directors Richter, Fiemeyer, and Brennan.

Admission to the State Tournament was set. Adults $7.00, Students $3.00. This is for one game or all day.

Tournament Passes will be available. Adults 3 weekends $50.00, 2 weekends $40.00. Students 3 weekends $20.00. You can purchase these at the State Trailer.

Motion Richter, seconded Wegscheid, carried to approve the Player contract of Tony Cornell to play for Union Hill.

Motion Richter, seconded Wegscheid, carried to approve the Player contract of Christopher Hirdler to play for Webster.

The next order of business was the playing roster of New Market. There were 7

players that were in question at the Final Roster meeting of the DRS League. Jerry Walerius, President of the DRS League and Don Dvorak, Secretary of the DRS League gave their interpretation of what might have happened with these players getting their releases well after they had signed a contract. Jeremy Wieland, a player in question and a speaker for the other players, gave his side of the problem and admitting that they played illegal according to the MBA Handbook, which the manager should have known. After a lengthy discussion, motion Roufs, seconded Forsman, carried to approve the player contracts of Jeremy Wieland, Al Flor, Matt Mowry, Dan Chies.

Four players: Tim Nelson, Derek Stahlecker, Dan Brownian, and Luke Flicek, were ruled ineligible. The New Market Team was ruled ineligible for Post Season Play and no players can be drafted. However, they will be allowed to play out the season. New Market must appear before the board before the 2004 Season to be reinstated. Voting against the motion: Fiemeyer.

The eligibility of Nick Rohne of Austin was the next order of business. The question at hand was he released from the Austin Greyhounds to the Austin/Hayfield team to play in an exhibition game. Joe Serratore, manager of the Austin Team, showed the board a copy of the release but somehow forgot to turn it in. Jarvis Anderson, Secretary of the Twin Rivers, verified this statement. After many questions by the board, motion by Wegscheid, seconded Richter, to make Rohne ineligible for one year. Voting for: Wegscheid, Roufs. Voting against the motion: Odman, Fischer, Richter, Forsman, Fiemeyer, Brennan, Zellmann. Motion defeated 7-2.

A motion was next made by Odman, seconded by Roufs, to make the Austin/Hayfield Team ineligible. Voting for: Odman. Voting against: Fischer, Richter, Forsman, Wegscheid, Fiemeyer, Brennan, Roufs, Zellmann. Motion defeated 8-1

Motion Richter, seconded Fiemeyer, carried to approve Andrew Vanloy to return to Milroy. He played for the Mankato Mashers.

Motion Forsman, seconded Wegscheid, carried to approve Justin Johnson to play for Waterloo, IA, a collegiate league and return to Chaska for Post Season providing he meets his eligibility.

Motion Roufs, seconded Brennan, carried to approve Nick Rohne to play for Wilson Tobs, NC and return for Post Season Play providing he meets his eligibility.

Motion Roufs, seconded Richter, carried to approve the Hastings Hawks to play in the Eau Claire Tournament August 11-17, 2003. Team must stay in tack, box scores, and roster must be sent to MBA Secretary.

Motion Fiemeyer, seconded Fischer, carried to approve teams to play Non-MBA teams. Austin Greyhounds - Eau Claire Perham- Fargo Mudhens Hamel - Oscelo, Wl

Motion Brennan, seconded Fiemeyer, carried to approve the State Tournament Schedule with corrections made.

Motion Forsman, seconded Wegscheid, carried to approve the State Tournament Umpires.

A letter from New Market was read concerning a Fall Ball League. Should this league get off the ground, a motion by Odman, seconded Richter that player rosters must be sent to the State and that High School players would not be eligible. In addition, the names of the State Board of Directors will not be used to encourage players to play. Voting against the motion: Fischer, Forsman, Fiemeyer. Motion passed 6-3.

Motion Fischer, seconded Brennan, carried to place an "Ad" in State Legion Book $150.00.
