Help with old photos

I have a shoebox from my great grandfather full of negatives in perfect condition of baseball games, players, and fields/stadiums. My great grandpa was, George Thompson, one of the founders of the umpires association. He took many pictures back in the '20s-'60s.

Is there anyone who could help me with this project? I need to identify and price what they are worth. Then I would like to start selling copies on paper to places. I need a partner to help me and I would share profits with this person. A lot of these negatives are from Minnesota teams, Chicago, Canada, New York and other places. MINUTES OF THE BOARD MEETING

MEETING SITE - COUNTRY INN, NORTHFIELD

Thursday, August 14, 2003

Meeting called to order by President Odman at 1:00 p.m.

All directors answered roll call.

Motion Brennan, second Wegscheid, carried, to approve the minutes from the July meeting as mailed.

The board met with tournament chairman Bill Nelson of Dundas, and Mike Allen of Northfield. Last minute details were over and finalized. President Odman extended best wishes to both sites for a good tournament.

Motion Roufs, seconded Fischer, carried, to reinstate Tony Nelson of Holdingford, Nelson was suspended for three games for not getting permission to play in a wood bat league. Nelson sat out his three-game suspension during regional play, making him eligible for state tournament play.

Motion Fiemeyer, seconded Wegscheid, carried, to suspend Chris Ebnet of Holdingford for three games for not getting permission to play in a wood bat league in Australia. Ebnet sat out two games in region play and must sit out the first game in state play to be eligible.

Motion Brennan, seconded Wegscheid, carried, to approve Jake Eiler to play fo the Madison Mallards of the Northwoods league, then return to Morris for post season play providing he meets his four game eligibility.

Motion Fischer, seconded Brennan, carried, to approve Bobby Zellman to play in the (perfect game) tournament in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Aug. 27 thru Sept. 3. Should they qualify, they would play in the wood bat tournament in Jupiter, Florida, Oct. 24-27, 2003.

Motion Forsman, seconded Fischer, carried, to approve the following players to return to MBA status from their wood bat leagues. Rick Rohne to Austin Greyhounds, Travis Johnson to Dassel/Cokato, Sean Breslin to Hayfield/Austin.

Motion Fischer, seconded Odman, carried, to approve the following teams to play non-MBA teams. (r Royals) to play Rochester Businessmen, (Essig) to play the Cleveland Spiders Indp., (Kasson) to play Randolph, (Perham) to play Perham American Legion.

A letter was received from Chad Hess, manager of the Melrose Black Sox. He was requested to move the Melrose team to Freeport. This is due to poor playing conditions in Melrose. Melrose played all their home games this year in New Munich. After some discussion, motion Fischer, seconded Forsman, carried, to approve Melrose to move to Freeport, their 2003 roster would be grandfathered in.

Another season has come and gone with the state tournament championship games being completed on Labor Day. We would like to thank Dundas and Northfield for a job well done.

Congratulations to our 2003 state champions, (Class A Minnetonka), (Class B Austin Greyhounds) two years running, (Class C Green Isle). This year's tournament attendance was (12,227).

Remember the Hall of Fame Banquet to be held at the Civice Center, St. Cloud on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003. A fun night for everyone.

All league officers and commisioners will receive meeting cards, please return cards by Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, so we can make plans for meals.
