Help with old photos

I have a shoebox from my great grandfather full of negatives in perfect condition of baseball games, players, and fields/stadiums. My great grandpa was, George Thompson, one of the founders of the umpires association. He took many pictures back in the '20s-'60s.

Is there anyone who could help me with this project? I need to identify and price what they are worth. Then I would like to start selling copies on paper to places. I need a partner to help me and I would share profits with this person. A lot of these negatives are from Minnesota teams, Chicago, Canada, New York and other places. 05/14/05 MBA Meeting

From Bob Zellmann

MBA Secretary/Treasurer

The meeting of the Minnesota Baseball Association was called to order by President Fischer May 14 at 1 p.m. at the VFW Club in St. Cloud.

Roll call showed all directors present.

Motion Brennan, seconded Fiemeyer, carried, to accept the minutes of the previous meeting as mailed.

In attendance: Tom Ludwig, Steve Barten, Bill Schulte, Matt Nesvig, Tim Nesvig, Doug Nesvig, Mike Barry, and Dan Hamann.

First order of business was to act on a player questionnaire submitted by the Stearns County League.

The player in question is Steve Barten. Motion Roufs, seconded Wegscheid, carried, to approve Steve Barten to play for Lake Henry.

Matt and Tim Nesvig came before the board, and stated that they played with a class A team in 2004 without being released from Gaylord.

They told the board they never signed a contract, so they thought it would be okay. After a few games, they decided to quit and go back to Gaylord.

However, Gaylord would not take them back, and they were given the advice to sit out the remainder of the 2004 season, which would help them in retaining their eligibility for the 2005 season.

There were many questions from the board, and quotes from the MBA Handbook were read. (Article 9-3) (Article 11-A).

And, of course, their answer was, “We didn’t know the rule, it will never happen again, we thought by sitting out we paid the penalty.”

After a lengthy discussion, a motion by Richter, seconded Wegscheid, that Matt and Tim Nesvig would lose their eligibility for the 2005 season.

Voting for the motion: Richter, Wegscheid, Zellmann. Voting against: Fiemeyer, Brennan, Roufs, Fischer, Forsman, Hartmann.

Motion lost 6-3, the Nesvigs will be eligible to play for Gaylord in the 2005 season.

A motion by Hartman, seconded Wegscheid, carried, that Grant Lunning be granted a release from the Austin Greyhounds, and be eligible to sign a contract with the Austin Blue Sox. Lunning lives in Leroy, which is out of the radius of all teams. However, he secured permission from the board to play in Austin for the past two seasons. Voting against, Fiemeyer.

Motion Wegscheid, seconded Brennan, carried, to approve the pro player questionnaire of Eric Goerdt to play for Clear Lake. Voting against, Richter.

Motion Wegscheid, seconded Brennan, carried, to approve the pro player questionnaire of Craig Hern to play for St. Joseph.

Motion Roufs, seconded Forsman, carried, to approve the pro player questionnaire of Mike Ludwig to play for Dundas.

Motion Fiemeyer, seconded Wegscheid, carried, to approve the pro player questionnaire of Jeremy Henderks to play for Eagan.
