Minutes of Board Meeting
Eastside VFW, St. Cloud, MN
Saturday June 16, 2007
Meeting called to order by President Richter at 11:00 a.m.
Roll call showed all directors present.
Motion Brennan, seconded Wegscheid, carried, to accept the minutes from the previous meeting as mailed.
This meeting was set for the purpose of selecting State Tournament sites for the years (2010), (2011), (2012). Teams that were bidding were - (Austin), (Red Wing-Miesville), (Delano-Maple Lake), (Glencoe-Brownton), (Willmar-Bird Island), (St. Cloud). Each site had 10 minutes to present their program; this was followed by questions from the board. After all the sites finished their presentation, they were asked to leave the room. The board then went into a private session to select the three new sites. After a lengthy session, teams were asked to return. President Richter thanked all bidding sites for their great presentation and hoped that sites that did not receive a bid would be back next time around. He also mentioned that should the board feel the tournament is declining to some point, the board would have the right to change the format, should this happen teams would be notified a year in advance and they could either accept the new format or drop out of the rotation.
