The Minnetonka Millers cruised to their fourth straight Dundas Invitational Tournament title. That ties them with Arlington and Hamel for winning four titles in a row.
They were never seriously challenged beating Highland Park 13-3 and Rochester 10-0 on Saturday before handling host Dundas 8-2 on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Geoff Bray threw seven innings giving up nine hits and two runs for the victory. Tony Richards doubled twice and scored both times. Jake Waldman had two hits and three RBI for the Millers and Cory Eckhof was three for five with an RBI. Javy Guevara was a perfect four for four for the Dukes.
In the third place game, Rochester scored a run in the bottom of the eleventh to beat St. Louis Park 6-5. Other tournament scores: Rochester 12, Highland Park 4; Austin Blue Sox 8, St. Louis Park 7; St. Louis Park 5, Dundas 2; and Dundas 4, Austin Blue Sox 2.
Look for the pairings of the six tournaments that are being held this week on June third. |
